Case Fitted Case

A Gothic-style gold brooch. The centre, set with a fine cloissone enamel 'fleur-de-lys' encircled by six peridots. Jewels of this type by Hardman are rare & were made for a small group of English Catholic families.

The Birmingham City Museum & Art Gallery owns similar brooches of this period acquired directly from Hardman.
