This unique and exceptional ring is astonishing in its concept. The sinuously entwined snake with its green champlevé enamel stripes has an affinity with ancient Egyptian rings, as does the fine cabochon opal to the solar disc Aten. A fabulous creation and yet it is so of its time, an example of perfect Art Nouveau.
