A depiction of a pair of snakes fighting over a ruby 'egg'. Perhaps a visual pun on two admirers fighting over the same woman 'She's a ruby'. A very stylish design contemporary with, & with echoes of Laliques serpent pendant in the Hermitage. Unfortunately the maker's mark has been lost in sizing the ring in the past.
