Ovide Yencesse was director of the Ecole des Beaux- Arts, Dijon He exhibited in the Salon d'Automne & the Salons of the Societe des Artistes Francais. Awarded Gold Medals at the 1900 & the 1920 Exhibitions & was made Chevalier of the Legion d'Honneur in 1900
