An intricate Arts & Crafts waist clasp by Joseph Hodel in the form of a grape vine.
Hodel worked with the Bromsgrove Guild along with his partner Louis Weingartner. From 1908 he taught metalwork at the Liverpool School of Art. Another jewel known by Hodel is the Arts & Crafts comb of 1906 in the collection of the Victoria & Albert museum.
