The central heart-shaped panel with pierced, chased &
repousse figures, illustrating the Art of Giving.
An elaborate mantle of laurel leaves surmounts a pierced inscription
‘Eager Heart’ 1907.
The other seven panels, worked in the same manner,
illustrating various charitable acts,
joined with an elaborate linked chain, with Celtic knots & foliage.
Marked on the reverse of the central panel:
‘To the Glory of God in the Service of Life, In Memoriam E.F.'
Inscribed: 'Presented by the First Prologue 1904 to the
Company of Eager Heart 1907'
Stamped makers’ marks.
Exhibited: 1910 Arts & Crafts Exhibition, no 274.
